-- I never really cared for Tribe Called Quest...never saw what the big deal was about them.
-- I never really liked Wu Tang. Thought they were all pretty wack aside from Meth and Inspektah Deck
-- I never even knew who J.Dilla WAS...or really gave a fcuk about who he was...until 6 months ago, I found out he produced alot of the joints on Busta's first album, including my favorite joint, Everything Remains Raw. (and I still think he's average)
-- I'm in Cincinnati, about 6 hours from Detroit, and i don't know wtf a BAATIN is. And only know who Slum Village is from their commercial single off Detroit Deli.
-- Norah Jones is one of my favorite artists of today. I go to her shows and sing my lungs out along with all the white hippie chicks.
-- Sometimes, in the morning...I make beats in my drawz...or butt ass naked.

This is a very interesting thread to say the least. I learned quite a bit about some of your listening habits. Here goes some of mine:
*I'm L.A. born & raised...and not much of a Pac fan AT ALL. Honestly, the only album of his that I can really f_ck with is "Me Against The World"
*On that note, I don't really f_ck with West Coast rap as whole. It's always been this way, too. When everyone out here was on "Doggystyle" & "The Chronic", I was on "Ironman", "Enter the 36 Chambers" & "Illmatic"
*I actually like DOOM, lol. He's in my top 5.
*Sometimes (more often than not now), I feel like certain producers get a pass on some of these wack ass beats they put out, simply because of their name. Really? "Universal Mind Control" was dope? Nah.
*I've never heard a will.i.am beat that I've liked.
*I think Wayne's best song is "Lights Off" from his The Block Is Hot album.
*I thought Hyphy was wack...even when it was "hot"
I'm sure there's a lot more, but I don't want to come off as the bitter, conflicted hip-hop listener, lol.

- I didint know who JDilla was befo he died
- As much as im feelin JDilla and DJ Premier beats, the exact opposite goes as well.
- I hate beats which has no melody or just goes from beautiful chords to ugly ones, just cuz they wanna sound jazzy or some ****.
- I think 2pac is underrated and biggie way overrated.
- Im not really keepin tracks of the hiphop industry at all, with some minor exceptions.
- I think Crooked I is madly underrated!
- Bah i can go on and on... that b all for now..
- And i think lot of people in this thread that just started to like or listen to rap/hiphop some year back or so dont know what they talking about when they sayin stuff like legendary rappers suck and all that.
Its one thing not to feel em its another thing to not give em props and call em whack.
