Dr.Dre prolly came up with it,and just had them play it

If I read it right, Mark Batson and Dre both got writer's credit. Batson is best known for his work on India Aire's debut LP (7 Grammy's) and Dave Matthew's Stand Up. Busta's last album too. Oh, and Hate It Or Love It by Game. He also produced Lost One by Jay-Z. Im actually learning something reading bout this dude.

Yeah, I misread that, it was the B-Side of the single "Higher" that he produced. I knew that, they say their names in the track, I forgot though lol. Anyway, check dudes discog. Pretty impressive resume.

Mark Batson
I see he produced both Anthony Hamilton singles "Charlene" and "Comin Where I'm From"....am i the only one who thought the snares sounded kind of weird on those?

Young buck can eat a dick...

but seriously..check out Latoiya's back catalogue..she can really sing.

"shining star" was a dope track and "everytime" is even better..

Been looking for her album for a min...dunno if it ever got released???

Drer should have pushed her instead of Tru truths...(she can get it tho')

how can dre be credit if he didnt produce it? im confused

Producing a track and composing the elements are 2 different things. For example, say you made a beat, and Dre liked it, and decided to buy it. When he releases the song, he's going in the liners as "Executive Producer" regardless of what work you did on the track. You will be named (provided you drew up your contract right), but Dre will get production credit even if he just lowered the snare by 1/2 decibel or adjusted the attack on a hi hat tick or whatever. Thats the way it works.

Actually, 'Executive Producer' is generally for entire albums... The executive producer is one of the main people that oversses the project creatively from start to finish.

For individual songs, it would say "Produced By:" and then for the other party, either "Co-Produced by" or their real name would just appear in the writers credit.

No one knows what Dre does and what Dre doesnt do unless they were there when that beat was made end of story...you really cant believe people by just word or interviews

I know someone that was there when the beat was made... So I'm gonna ask for some info.

But anyway, it's fire!

this beat is so beautiful and calm and relaxing. the piano work is so delicate and soothing.
