Would the cd rom drive in this SCSI tower http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/sys/1855129113.html work with the mpc 2000xl. Like if i burned a cd with .wav file drums from my computer and put it into the SCSI tower would the mpc be able to read it? sorry if this is a stupid or obvious question i just want to make sure that scsi tower will work for what i need it to do.
 
it should...the connector looks like the one the mpc uses. take your mpc with you to look at if you want to be sure.

why not go for a card reader?
 
Looks like that's just a housing to hold multiple SCSI devices. It's a SCSI host and a power supply to hold internal components. Best thing to do is just meet the seller somewhere that you know there is some outlets and bring the MPC with. Burn a disc ahead of time to test out and make sure it all works. The worst that happens is that you waste the guy's time, and well he's selling an obscure item anyway, I doubt people are beating down his door for it.
