Why is Jay Z's "Open Letter" Not in Spotify/Beats/Pandora?

Why did he release Open Letter only on vinyl. Maybe someone in the industry can explain the reasoning for this? Chainsmokers and some other acts do the same thing...release songs exclusively on vinyl. Why would you not want consumers to have the ability to purchase a song that has massive demand?
 
free joint made to address the trip to Cuba and Nets sale. It's not going to make a lot of money so why even bother?

B/c putting it on vinyl makes it desirable n itself...
theres sombody who hasnt bought a jay album since like black album....
- but they gonna go cop the new vinyl just b/c it vinyl... so why not

When you can hang with British royalty, hang out at the white house with the President and chill out with Bono and friends in Monaco, it's safe to say you aint tripping over a few dollars.
