West Coast Rap Producer
Sup FP!

I just wanted to wake ya'll up and have some fun with
the official
"Why is it??"
thread.

Please by all means, feel free to add to this...

#1 Why is it that anytime there is a 'new' product that comes out that makes music arrangement easier, people bash it. WTF? They should be happy that such a fabulous product exists. But no! They'd rather bash cats for using it and say 'thats cheating, you ain't no real musician, why don't you just learn music theory!" lol. I agree having knowledge in music theory helps but why should it matter how you get from point A to B? Sounds to me like people are just mad because they spent years learning something you just managed to bang out in like 5 mins..

#2 Why is it that it seems like every day a new producer comes out the woodwork, goes 'gung-ho' in the game for like 2 months and then says "Well, I gave it a good run, put my all in and now I'm giving music production up for good..." Really?? WTF?? Giving up? Already? MF you never even started!!! LoL! I guess he didn't get the memo? Cats need to take notes and understand that in this game it takes: time - commitment - drive - hustle AND luck and most importantly work for sh*t to pop off.

Your turn...

good points! i think peeps bash new software because their afraid they wont be able to keep up with the changes, also it pisses peeps off to know someone works half as hard and still achieves the same results if not better. others are just mad cuz they cant afford it. also a new producer comes out everyday because they prolly see/heard of a program and decide to give it a shot thinking theyll blow up in a week or something lol.

ps. peep the sig fkers!

Why is it that the fans from this generation try to marginalize the greats from past decades? When Wu Tang, Snoop, Nas, and Big came through the fans didnt throw away G Rap, Too Short, Run Dmc, Nwa, Kane, and Rakim...its crazy to me.

Answer: The difference between now and then is substance plus hype. The wrong substance gets the right kind of hype. It gives hype a bad name. Then if something was consider "wack" it was as it never existed.....if something was great everybody knew how great it was and if a person didn't like it.........they didn't wear a t-shirt, make a got damn video blog, or be in an interview explaining why the game is ****ed up. Today it's more of the fans oppitional power that takes over plus the experimental thought process of artist plus the biting of what's popular plus the lack of substance that is being bit. When in all actuality it's good music that people "ARE NOT SPEAKING OF".

I asked a question that still has no answer. What was the last song or album that anybody enjoyed to a point that it will be a part of their life forever? Not good albums or saying it's suppose to be great.....but that ""YOU will enjoy the rest of your life meaning you know the whole song or album word per word and even the detailed bells and peekaboo sounds in the shit........????????? O.K..... How many others do you think feel the same way about that album or song? That's the difference in then and now. We were fans! People are fake fans these days........knowing the whole song to some shit on the radio only because it's played 50eleven times. I think it's more aspiring artist than fans in hip hop.

Why is it that producers want more credit than they deserve?

Why is it that beatmakers say they the best.......I mean how in the hell can you be the best beatmaker......is it a ratio of good to bad beats or something? They be like "I'm the best because my ratio of hot beats is 12578/12958 according to what I think.....you don't count you haven't made over 100 beats yet, son". "that beat is iight you need to add some 20hz to that kick, son then you will knockin". That love ballad shit is cute, but the snare ain't popping, son!"

Why is it that every remake of Otis with added drums SUCK? It takes away the soul of the shit.

Why is it that people buy some new equipment and make a youtube video unwrapping the shit........and never make a video using the shit?

Why is it that rappers are suicidal?

Why is it that rappers rap about expensive watches still like it's 2000.......and still don't have the watch?

Why is it that rap is still on some selfish shit? Why do people enjoy listening to rappers brag about what they got and laugh at you "the listener" for not having it? Is it the beat? "Yeah.....the beat is so hot that the listener ain't shit....you broke bastard.....I paid $20 for this beat foo.....yall still getting free downloads....get swag like me, foo."

Oh, this is my type o thrizz-nead...

Why is it that people "think" they know every move you make based off of what they see on the internet? They don't know who you actually are, what your real production name is, where you really live, what moves you may have made but don't want to broadcast... nuff.

Why do people that don't really have a Hip Hop bone in their body claim to know so much about it. I liken it to playing Modern Warfare on an Xbox and telling a real field soldier how to survive on a battlefield. I can normally point out the MTV Hip Hoppers vs. the people that have actually been on a stage, in a studio, DJ'd a party... just by what they type. Rapping at home and watching WSHH vids won't cut it, sorry.

Why do people get so attached to artists? I can see liking the beauty of a female artist but to sort of "fall in love" with some rapper is disturbing to me. Their music is entertainment... if half of them did what they said in their records... they wouldn't be free. Studio recording is sort of a vent session for a lot of artists. That's why when they get popular they have bodyguards. All of them want bodyguards because just like the internet... people can be upset about one thing one day and totally change their mind the next day but nobody will know they may have been "enlightened".

Why do so many people try to avoid the flipside of constant positivity and end up caught out there unprepared when all is said and done? You don't have to avoid negativity, you just don't have to support it... but it'll be there. I live like that, I want the best out of every situation but I'm not destroyed if the outcome isn't always "positive" because normally I've prepared for the worst but wish for the best. An old First Sergeant taught me that.

When did people just become "mean" in general? Like if you don't like what they like... it's F you and we ain't cool (mostly internet stuff, people deal with disagreements better face to face)...

Why do people think you're talking about them? Why do we heave importance onto ourselves?

Why can't people express the views that people don't want to express ... but the people that don't want to express it think themselves? What's wrong with just "saying what everybody is thinking"

Why am I right... a lot? and have the "I told you so's" to back it up

What's wrong with being confident and happy? Why do people like to call it arrogant and cocky? (see Lex Luger threads)

Things that make me go hmmmmm???

... and WHY? Does nobody believe that TPOM is Real! Why are people in denial about this?

Plays Jadakiss's WHY...
