I'm currently running windows 98, and I have (3) 128 megabyte chips of memory installed on my mother board. However, windows 98 only acknowledges (1) 131 megabytes. This really bytes... I've read that upgrading to windows ME will fix this problem allowing me to access all 3 memory chips. I've also read that windows ME is better for those of us using music programs. Is this true? And what about graphic programs? Is it compatible with the likes of Photoshop and such? I have both music and graphic programs installed.

Thanks ;)

yeah it should solve ur problem but first upgraded ur bios for the motherboard + the videocard

very easy to do, don't go to win 2000 just yet i just swaped from NT and half my things don't work, for audio  ME should work just fine

thanks to 2000 i need a new scanner! new videocard, new soundcard!!! :(

one slightly pissed off person here

Hmmm.... What exactly should I do with my Bios ( answer carefully...lol ). Also, I'm sorry to hear about the problems with windows 2000. I would be really pissed off too.

some motherboards just dont like unpair numbers (3, 5, etc..). the new SDRAM motherboards are not like this but who knows...

make sure you plugged it correctly (not reversed) it can happen. Also go inside your bios (press DEL on startup) and do an EXIT AND SAVE, without changing any options.. sometimes it checks for new resources and adds them in his counters.

good luck!
