What's your opinion about a mix of your beats?

Do you guys care about your mixes on your beats? I don't really care about my mixes on my beats. Don't mix really while making beats, just slight EQ, reverb, delays etc. I was wondering does it really matter if I don't? Or should I really take it more serious. Of course before I put out a beat I take my time and mix and master but to send to artist do you think it matters?
 
Have you tried playing your beats on different speakers/headphones and comparing to professionals?

Most people find that their music sounds worse in comparison to pro tracks across a wide range of systems.
