What is needed for a classic DJ setup?

Damn, I just watched Juice. In the movie, one of the main characters, Q is a DJ. What he does is so awesome and sick. What is that that he's using? Just a big set of turntables with a mixer?

Yes, two turntables and a mixer. Technics 1200's and Atus am 100..

Of course, if you are planning on a setup like that, a bit newer battle mixer would be the reasonable choice. Such as Rane TTM, Ecler HAK, Vestax PMC-05 Pro..
