VST filter plugin that sounds like AKAI MFC42

Hi All,

In my old hardware setup I was using a Akai MFC42 wich in my opinion did a really nice job in boosting up frequencies.
I used it a lot as a lowpass filter on instrumental disco loops and if the filter opened up it also boosted the high frequencies and made it all sound filthy.

I cant get the same results using vst plugins.
I have been trying serveral filters and combination of chains like distortion and saturation plugins but it doenst really come close.

Does anyone know how to create this particilar sound. Wich plugins to use..

hey man i know what you mean but i found this plugin that comes very close to hardware distortion the "D16 DEVASTOR" i use it on all my drums now !!! it will do the job!
 
That D16 bundle is nice.
You may also want to look into Soundtoys (Filer Freak 1/2) or Filtrator(can't remember who made that one)
