I'm saving like god knows what for these at the moment!

Got the Vestax brochure and in it the have a straight tone arm and are called mk11's. i have seen them on the web somewhere with an S arm.

Are they avaliable in both? or would this just have been an old pic of the mark 1 (i'm assuming the mk1 had an s arm)

Yeah, the first few had S shaped arms, but the most production models came out with the ASTS right away. I've never seen one with an S arm in real life, only in the first product brochures.

If you're rich :D , consider the PDX-8000, it's the PDX D3, but with a slightly better motor, a weird red finish, but most important a heavy aluminium tonearm (less vibrations).

I won't say the price, I think you'd get a heart attack.

gonna have to settle for the D3s they cost enough as it is!!!!!!!!! If i was rich maybe but im a poor arse student just working my arse off

They'll easily be good enough for me :D

I'm with you on that. And I mean, if Coxy and Mike Ruff Cut Lloyd are fit with them they can't be all that shite, now can they?

Vestax d3s

I use the PDX- A1 mkII, these have the 'S' shaped arm you mentioned and my mate has the d3s with the S-arm shape, but these are the earlier models. All Vestax now come with the ASTS straight arm.

You may still see a few of the s-arm ones on the PDX-a2s (The vertical turntable).
