Use just one stereo channel ?

Hey ppls,

I was just digging for samples and I found a good one but my problem is, that the "sounds" I want to sample are only (or mostly) on one stereo "side". I mean I hear the part on my left speaker. Now I dont want that in my beat. I want to kinda center it. Has anyone a good idea how to manage that?

It would be great if someone could explain me how to manage that in FL Studio.

EDIT: The sound on the left is not only on the left but its mostly there. I would not like to seperate it and take only the left channel. It would be great if I could somehow just mix all up (left and right to one centered sound)

You could either take only the side you'e after and pan that as a mono channel or you could use some form of stereo expander/separation to reduce the width. Depends what the sound is though.

if you know what the stereo should be like put it in an L & R track and automate the panning of each to suit could maybe work
