Not a bad beat here, but I find the kick to be too soft in the mix for me. Harder hitting kick would seem to suit this style more IMHO. The form you have laid out and sound selection are nice, but in would suggest more saturation and compression to dirty up the drums, and maybe layering the samples. The hi hat sounds a bit disconnected from the drums.

but the music you have laid out here is melodic and nice. Keep up the good work!

Please take a listen to my latest remix when you have a chance, I would appreciate your feedback as well: https://www.futureproducers.com/for...-command-q-blood-stone-new-thread-f4f-475499/

keep it up, great work!

Nice beat, not really my thing though.
The mixing could use some improvements, I'd say start with turning down the low end and turning up the mids and highs.
This way the 808 wouldn't be so dominant.
I have checked out some of your other tracks and they sound good, keep up the good work!

yeah this got a fresh sound too it , and maybe instead of boosting this kick keep your boombap kick and layer it with a punchy trap kick

First off - I'm always a huge fan of "different", so that's a great thing to strive for. I saw someone up there put that they thought the kick was too soft - I agree that the kick is a little soft by itself, but you have the 808 with it that saves it, so I'm fine the layering and like how you don't have the 808 all the way through the beat. It's a fun song, but I would like to hear some more instruments besides just the samples...but I'm always partial to live instrumentation since I never really here anyone on here use them anymore. The drums are nice and like the hi-hats. Solid job sequencing and putting in breaks, too...song ended out of nowhere, thought.

it's not the kind of music that i usually produce or hear but in my opinion i see that kick is lowering down some other sounds, a bit of compression should be enougth. However i like it very much!

I like the concept of the beat but it needs a better mix everything is not blended well, and the beat is really low I had to turn my monitors way up. Another producer taught me this before, if you look at your waveform map, meaning the picture that soundcloud shows when playing your song, and its a block, that means you have wall of sound fighting each other. So you might want to EQ your sounds to play in there own range and use some compression to get that puchiness.
