Anyone know what he's been using lately? All I know AS of late was this article in a 2005 magazine where he mentioned how much he's been hooked on the Yamaha Motif but anyone know what he uses?

it would really help if anyone knew the exact equipment he used to make his voice effects during the early 90s. What's that effect called?

yes I am a n00b when it comes to alot of the terminology but we gotta crawl before we walk:cool:

Actually Robert troutman used a talk box . A vocoder mixes your natural voice with another melody and such. A talk box pushes noise through your mouth to make word sounds as you shape your mouth.

Cool. thanks guys. I have heard riley associated with vocoder before so I'm taking that's it. But I hope someone can hook up his info as far as keyboards, etc.

Just trying to learn. :)

For DAW, he uses Logic; for keys, he's got tons of them. I once saw his mobile studio on TV... Crazy!!!!

He primarily used a talk box, but he also made use of a vocoder at times. Teddy's used pretty much everything. He was a HUGE Roland fan back in the day, and had 5 or 6 of everything they had. And he's been a big Logic guy, too. I don't know if he still rocks MPCs, but he did for a very long time. Teddy's a MAJOR influence to me being involved in production, and I'm just one on a LONG laundry list of names.
Peace

The mobile studio was featured in BET documentary celebrating Teddy's 15 years in the biz as a Pro; I don't recall the year, but it's been a while. Like Aliengoover says, there's hardly any piece of modern audio gear Teddy hasn't messed with, if you consider his clientele. Also, he is not just a producer but a solid engineer.

Did he produce anything popular in 2006? If so, please name, I am curious...

His lp black rock was pushed back, the sampler I got sounded poor.
He's my inspiration too, go thru the Korg M1 & Roland D50s and you should be able to get his sound.

Actually i read an article in Remix where he said he uses on the Roland MC-808 on most of his production and that he was even gonna get his little daughter one and teach it to her...lucky little girl.

Yah I read about that. I know I also read an article dating back to like 93' where he mentions this as well. I know he has more than one girl. Lucky daughters they are, thats for sure. Wish I was born to a producer somtimes.
