Sub skills of music production

Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I feel like this is the most 'genera' category.

I am wondering what the specific sub-skills of the major areas of music production are:

Mixing + Mastering
Sound design + Effects
Composition + Structure

I'm trying to become better at the individual aspects of these but am having trouble dividing them into their individual parts.

Music theory: what notes to play and when to play them.
Playing an instrument (can be further divided into reading music, technical ability, articulation, improvisation, performance)
Sound design
Structuring tracks and the big picture
Mixing and mastering
