Studio Monitors

I'm looking for a cheap pair of studio monitors for hip hop production (less than 150 used on ebay would be preferred)

What do you guys think would be best for me?

Logitech 2.1s high end. Don't bother with monitors unless your willing to spend a little bit more money.

KRK Rokit 5's 6's are a solid investment.

you cant afford KRKs yet but until you can, get a pair of M-Audio monitors, any newer ones you can find, and they will be better than nothing...

$150 is not going to get you a lot, so I would say hit up your local pawn shops

TBH For 150 I'd get this:

And once you get a big more money, you can upgrade to some decent bookshelf's from Polk, JBL, etc.


OR you could hit up a pawn shop/craigslist/whatever and try to find a cheap amp and some bookshelf speakers.

The whole point of studio monitors is to accurately and intently listen to and fine tune your music.
It is better to not cheap out on this aspect of your production equipment.
Buy some KRKs - anything else would be uncivilized.
