sound degradation because of encoding to mp3

if there is one thing i hate about making music it is that everytime i upload it to souncloud or youtube it sounds so much worse, all the nuances i worked so hard on to get perfect dissapear and the whole thing becomes lifeless.

so, how do my fellow futureproducers users deal with this i wondered. do you master your tracks in a certain way to get it trough encoding in a decent way? and am i the only one with this issue?

btw, the example at the top is a bit exaggerated to illustrate the point, it still bugs me tough.

I notice the issue, but I usually don't care that much (we can't change what happens to our audio when it's uploaded )

I've heard of people using a gentle low pass filter to attenuate some high frequencies since mp3 encoding primarily affects the highs. Never done that myself though.
