After selling all of my gear last year I neglected to notice that someone who still had the love for it might find some use for the 19 issues of Scratch that I had sitting in a closet.

sorry man, the only one's that aren't there are the 1st one with Dre, the 2nd with the neptunes and possibly one with Diddy on the cover(although that may have been a double cover of which I have the other).

I know for a fact though that you can find pdf scans online of the dre article from the 1st one

I have em all still flip through em and pick up tips here ad there

Why didnt another publishing entity pick up the slack once Scratch bit the dust? Is that a sign of decline in the print business or the urban music production business...or both?

scratch was dope... too bad i gave all mine away. i wonder why they haven't come out with an online version of this magazine.. that would be dope.

Bringing back memories I remember coming back home from college my first semester where I had the whole collection in my bedroom just to find out my mom cleaned my room and threw them all out smh...

I agree they weren't as good when they started putting rappers on the cover, but I still loved the magazine. The only time that i'd gladly check the mail was when I knew a new scratch was out. In fact, it was this magazine that got me started in production. I had heard about FL Studio but thought that it was a toy and that no serious person used it. I thought that to get into production you needed to buy an mpc. One day in 05 I randomly picked up the kanye issue and found out that one of my favorite producers (9th wonder) used fl studio, it was on from then on...it was a good ride

I used to love this magazine. I agree with the rapper thing. They should've just kept it strictly "industry insider" / producer thing only. But I guess it was a niche product as it is...

Wasn't Vibe resurrected? Or am I imagining things.

I really miss Scratch only magazine for the producers out there. They should let the Rapper be in the XXL though, but still.

Both indeed. Moreso the print business.

definitely the print business. Newspapers and magazines will all be a thing of the past one day. I remember in the 90's when I used to read The Source, I'd find out about something weeks after it happened. Now with the net, there's no delay in getting information

I have the entire collection. Scratch fvcked up when they started to forget about the dj. It was a dj/ producer magazine at first.

[shameless promotion]auction ends in less that 24 hours! [/shameless promotion]

i remember right before they were cancelled i was supposed to get an article in the magazine for winning the battle of beats 2k7 round 2 in richmond va, needless to say the magazine plummeted so did my article. man was i pissed.
