They're going to move this...but I saw him on Mike & Mike this morning talking about it...

He's recently backtracked off it on Twitter...

I think he meant he's a better athlete than MJ...which is true...but to say LeBron is better at this point with no championships is ridiculous...and I'm a heat fan...here in Florida him and Wade are larger than life...

But MJ was universally larger than life...he WAS the league...he's the reason players get shoe deals...he WAS the dream team...

Hell... Space Jam >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The LeBrons

But LeBron is still writing his book...it's not fair to compare him to someone that has already finished theirs...

   LaBron aint even better than some people in the league now. Wow! Scottie will always be Jordan's sidekick.......like Robin. You can't say Scottie without Jordan. Scottie was a beast too, though. Hell, Scottie > LaBron.

1 word....KOBE n once KD reach his prime its over maybe even for kobe

To be able to say Lebron is better than Jordan, you'd have to be able to say that the league overall is as tough as it was when Jordan played.

It's almost the same as how people give Mike Tyson props for being a great heavyweight, he would have to be able to hang with George Foreman, Ali, Frazier, Holmes, Norton and the rest in their era to even be able to make a comparison.

What happened when Mike ran into Lennox Lewis and Holyfield?

Maybe he's AS strong as Jordan in certain areas but if I had to pick a team with one of 'em on it... I'm picking Jordan 100 out of 100 times.

I think the hype train is on his side... no hate on him though, he's definitely a force.

I still say Kobe is better than him in a one to one comparison. Lebron will only get better though...

I guess it's something to talk about, everybody gets compared to Jordan, he's the benchmark. Not a bad spot to have.

Kobe is certainly more comparable to Jordan than LeBron...he's just as egomaniacal as Jordan was...Kobe even went as far as to get Shaq kicked off the team so he could say he did it without him...

LeBron should be compared to Magic if anyone...the size and speed...court vision...ball handle...passing ability...hell I could see LeBron playing center the same way Magic did in that legendary game 6 win...

Agree... ? Disagree...?

Lol @ The LeBron James ad on this page...

Labron compared to Magic? No! Why? Labron doesn't have the swag of Magic. Magic made simple plays look so beautiful. Made impossible passes look easy.......all the time. Showtime!

You must be a teen/early 20s. I agree. Our generation was pretty much all about Iverson. I mean, Jordan was still the GOAT, but Iverson had every kid on every school yard trying to rock that crossover. He played a big part in how ball handling is today. He wasn't the first to do it, but he made it popular everywhere.

Yeah, I'm 19. And I agree completely.

Iverson made me like basketball; hell, made me PICK UP a ball myself and play.

He had so much finesse. Nobody could guard him, and he could always find an open lane. Even without a championship he gave Philadelphia a fan base and a good game to watch. He was certainly love/hate player for obvious reasons. He was hip-hop on that court. But at the end of the day the man had so much passion for ball and played like a Hall of Famer. People called him a ball hog for years cause he was #1 in scoring, over 30PPG, but he was top 3 in assists for a long time; and high on steals.

I still remember buying his I3 shoes from Footlocker. I grew up on hand me downs, my shoes all came from Garage Sales. $70 was big for me. I remember looking at the "Eastbay" catalog like it was a Playboy.

Fair point...but we aren't going to find a carbon copy of our favorite legends...

What I was trying to say is that LeBron is more similar to Magic than Jordan...
He's a 6'8 point guard with incredible court vision and can play all 5 positions if you need him to...and he's happy being a facilitator...
He doesn't make the fanciest passes, true to your point...but I do think he makes the necessary pass...
The job he did on the MVP Derrick Rose was incredible...and he's going from shutting down the best PG in the game to (hopefully) shutting down the most skilled 7 footer in the game...

For comparisons sake I would say LeBron plays the game like Magic, and Wade is the more Jordan like player

lebron will never be able 2 touch michael jordan #impossible

This is true...nobody can get close to Jordan's mystic...no matter how talented the player is...
Magic & Bird saved the league and Jordan transcended it to levels no one could ever imagine...and to the giant cash-cow it is today...
It was a different time then...there wasn't the big endorsement deals...the fancy sneakers...and global stardom
It was unheard of for an American basketball player to be idolized in Japan...today it's common and that is the problem...
Jordan carried the league to the level it is today...it even rivals the NFL (both killing baseball)
Nobody can do that these days because it's already been done...LeBron will just be another hall of famer...nothing new but certainly still special...

Like I was saying...things were different then...thats why we need to let our LeBrons & Kobes be who they are (although Kobe mimics Jordans game) and not "the next Jordan"

Besides that...The Decision instantly moved him to the Isiah Thomas role and the Heat became the bad boy Pistons

Quick Question OP, Why the hell is a thread about sport in Hip Hip/R&B Section?

Jordan is the 3060 degree grandmaster adept of grandmasters of the royal order or airness...bow to his greatness.
