Hi
How does one really sample with the sp 404. Do I have to create/chop loops in my DAW(fruityloops) first and then import it into the sp 404? Or do I import a full song into the sp 404 and chop it up in there? Which would kinda seem odd if I had to upload a whole song into the sp 404. Keep in mind I won't be sampling with vinyl but digitally with an mp3 file.
Also the loops would be around 5 to 10 maybe 11 seconds long. If I chopped it fruityloops through edison. So I am not sure if that would effect anything?
Any advice on sampling with an sp 404 would be a lot of help. My plan is to make boom bap inspired hip hop beats, but to still make it my own style with a touch of lofi and modernity(lol).
