Hello everyone, I own the native instruments maschine and have recently purchased a Numark PT-01 portable turntable that hooks directly to the computer with a usb cable, I can get the samples onto the computer from the vinyl and into my Itunes library and/or drag them onto my desktop but cannot get them into maschine. they are set as an m4a file and i have tried switching them to a wav file and still no luck. I was wondering if anyone can help me with this problem.

Thanks for your time,
-Dylan

Use any DAW. Set your recording device to the USB TT (You may have to go in the options and add it as an input as you would a microphone - I did on Audition 3.0 it showed up as USB-Audio device). Set it for record and play the track. Then save as a .wav and load into Maschine under whatever group you want. Just like loading in a drum sound.

Or better yet just use the sampling feature directly within Maschine.

I messed around with the audio and midi settings in maschine and got it to read the the microphone built into my mac. but i have to switch between that setting and another one to get the sound to play out of my speakers. i am trying to get it to record directly into the sampling feature but it won't pick it up.

i had to downlaod asio4all to get my tt to play through maschine.

You guys should be plugging directly into your soundcard to be able to sample vinyl. Does the TT have an option for using RCA Cables or is it USB? If it's USB, then that's a different beast I know nothing about. I'd actually recommend not using a USB table to do this.

Yes, it is a USB, and it is still giving me problems. I'm gonna keep messing with it and see if i can get it to work

Very simple solution just make your default output listen to your USB device. You can find this option by right clicking your USB device
