Sampling from 90's Golden Era

We all know (should know) that Hip Hop foundation, as far as production, is based on sampling. Thus, with the modern day rap and Hip-Hop, I've noticed a some beat makers, sampling from the Golden Era. Do you see this as a new trend, within Rap and Hip-Hop?
