Rp8's do i need reference speakers?

I have just bought some Rokit rp8's i am starting out to mix but radio play is on the cards do i need reference speakers?

And how important to the setup are they?

Do i need reference speakers for mixing nd mastering, or at what level would you introduce them in your setup....

Do you mean, if you should get another type of speakers, if you do another pair of speakers are always useful...

Another set of speakers are useful to check and confirm your mixes and masters...

It's not necessary to have reference speakers, but it's always a good thing. Most poeple will listen to your music in their car or on small home speakers. Just ask around if your neighbors try to get rid of their old pair of speakers !

It are very good speakers, but if you have an other pare of an other type for example Yamaha's HS80, you can listen how it sounds on other monitor systems.
