dub/dancehall/ska/rocksteady all spawned from reggae beats and basses. i guess as the studio became more synth/sampler oriented in the late 70's, producers tried emulating the beats etc. on these new equipment. You can see how the riddims evolved to what they are now,,,,,,listen some eek a mouse, den some super cyat, then some buju, terror fabulous, den some beeni/ bounty den some elephant n u see wuh i talkin bout.
