Alright here goes

cakewalk dimension pro - well what can i say it has some really really nice presets not too much tweak off the jump . it does have a real big airy type feel to all the sounds . sounds very professional i would compare this to the triton due to the fact of how it sounds . its basic sounds such as pianos strings and guitars and basses are its strong points but orchestra is not. for some reason when i load cakewalk some users have trouble with the software unpackaging all the software so it didnt unload garritan pocket orchestra . so no luck with the brass sounds . the strings though!!!! are nice!!!!1. interface is clever . not much for effects though coupl filters cuople delays and some reverb but not alot . good choice im very pleased with this product!!!!!!! plus you can load up wav and aiff samples into the multisampler and use them in dime pro!!!!!!!!!(MESSAGE!!!!!)

CAKE WALK RAPTURE- very nice synths very easy to learn incorparates dimension pro into it . you can do alot of modeling and tweaking of sounds also i like how all the delays or what ever you put into program automatically syncs to the bpm!!!!!!! huge feature im lovin the ease of use to make my own sounds plus if i dont like it you can dissect the presets fairly easy

G FORCE MINI MONSTA- best moog emulation ive heard period. 2300 presets. 150 bucks the best deal out there imo. the sounds blow me away sounds real close to actual analog regular listeners wouldnt even bea ble to tell the difference. so much capability to make your own sound or to tweak it that i cant even grasp gforces capabilites

all in all with my korg micro x i think i have a pretty tight setup !

I don't think the orchestra stuff is that bad actually. Definately not the strongest part of the included library, but the tweaks to them will make them shine. Are you sure you've looked at the same Dimension Pro I am looking at? There are tons and tons of effects from about 12 or so filter types, a couple of filters per element, the Lofi-bit reduction, the distortion/drive, the choruses, delays, etc...tons of them. Look a bit deeper and you should see all the effects available and the fact that many effects are available at different stages of the signal routing.

Get Extreme Sample Converter 3, and you can turn any sample patch collection from other formats into SFZ format to use in Dimension Pro. I did this and converted the Emu soundbanks, some Roland soundbanks, and some Akai soundbanks and use them in Dim Pro as well.

I have to disagree about Dim Pro sounding like a Triton. Triton's sound thin and weak, and Dim Pro is BIG sounding...almost sounds more "hardware" than most hardware. Triton is a weak chirp box to my ears.

Completely dominates over NI's Massive. I do love layering elements from Dim Pro's acoustic patches into this alongside some synth elements and running them through the step generators...it almost writes the riffs for you before you even get to the keyboard.

Ageed, it is a great Moog emulation and sounds great from a great company...now I would love it if it weren't for the fact it sounds exactly like a Moog, and I loathe that Moog sound (I am a Korg MS-20 fan).

Yeah, but what do you really need that microX for other than a controller? It sounds like a Triton, and Triton's sound ick (imo).
