Hey Guys,

I'm trying to mix a track for an artist I'm working with, and there is an echo on the vocal track. I'm a rookie with mixing, have tried teaching myself via YouTube and messing around with different filters, effects, etc. I'm currently trying to mix in Logic 9, but also have Pro Tools 8 LE. If anybody has any tips or techniques on how to remove the echo from the vocal track, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you have the project files, then just remove the delay/reverb. If the vocals are already wav files with the FX on them there is really nothing you can do to remove it. You can try just chopping off the echo from the end of each word but there is no way to take it out of the middle of the words.
