Record MIDI (MPC 1000 + Sound Module + MPK 25)

I currently have the MPK 25 Midi Output------>Mo Phatt Midi In
Mo Phatt audio outs---->mackie channel 1 audio inputs

I want to record the MIDI Data into Cubase, using a small 2x2 USB MIDI Interface, but here is my problem....

Do I plug in the MIDI out of the Mo Phatt into the interface Midi In? -OR- Do I plug the MPK 25 MIDI In into the Interface Midi Out, to record all of the data, so that I can arrange it in a step/grid editor?
 
My bad I misunderstood at first.. I have a similar setup. You should have a midi cable goin from the MPC to the MPK. Then the USB Midi Interface should be hooked up to the MPC. Midi IN into the MPC's OUT and Midi OUT into the MPC's IN. Depending on your OS it might look different, but Press MODE PAD9 then F2 and set the Sync in & Sync out to the ports that the interface is hooked up to.
