I would like to get a clear understanding on how ADAT and word clock work together when attempting to connect a UA 4-710 mic preamp to a Mackie Blackbird(or any other interface) Via ADAT.
Scenario:
I have both ADAT outputs on my UA 4-710 connected to both ADAT inputs of my Mackie Blackbird. I have a BNC cable connected to the word clock out of the UA 4-710 and to the input of the Mackie Blackbird. I set the mackie blackbird clock to word clock.
My goal is to have the converters in the UA 4-710 override the converters in the Mackie Blackbird. I'm only using the mackie blaCKbird, at this time, to send the digital signal from my 4-710d into my computer and output sound.
any input would be appreciated.
