When you make a song using Reason and you have 2 drum patterns, one coming in the beginning and then changing to another drum pattern later, how do you do this. I save one under button 1 and second one under button 2. I have to keep clicking on the right button everytime I want the beat to change. For example when you export a song to Audio and you play it it only has one drum pattern going throughout the entire thing. How do I make it so it switches beats without me clicking on the right button. If you can answer that please help me cause I'm stuggling. Peace

i would say that your best bet is to set loop point on your track, and using your first drum loop, right click redrum and click "copy to track", then set loop points where you want your other drum lopo and do the same thing./ Then you can copy and paste within the sequencer whereever you want your beat. Its hard to explain without physically showing you but hopefully that helps. Good luck

you can do what jgraber explained, but you can also automate redrum in the sequencer...just open up the automation lane for the redrum track and select the pattern you want to start with in the upper left hand corner of the automation lane (probably A1) click on the pencil tool and draw in where you want it to play...then select the next pattern which you want to sequence and draw that in...this will keep your file size down a bit because you won't have all of that note data in the sequencer...peace

yes, do that... he knows what he is talking about... the other way is much too troublesome, and besides to really realize reasons full potential, you need to know how to "automate" your "racks."

w3rd!

you know i've been using reason since v1 but yet i've never used pattern section ever

i build out all my parts in the Piano Roll and do it that way

i basically use reason as one huge step sequencer.

hehe

I appritiate it guys. I tried both to do it both ways and it worked. I really don't know what I would do without FP. Everytime I seem to have a problem ya'll bail me out. Thanx

Peace
