Question about delay in Reaper

So i have been using reaper for some time now and I am extremely satisfied with it in nearly every way. The only thing that bugs me is after i record a track, it shows up earlier than it should, so i have to correct the offset by moving the recorded audio forward to where it should be. There is no latency in audio when I am recording, and as far as I know, there is no way to correct this with the standard options in reaper(v3). Is there an extension or anything I can use? would appreciate some answers because it SLIGHTLY slows down the workflow when I have to do this

Weird, I use Reaper too but I've never had this happen. Make sure your audio hardware settings are right under the preferences, instead of using the default you might have to specify your sound card or asio and select your inputs/outputs manually. If all else fails, post on the Reaper forum.

Weird... I hear of midi doing this. But not audio. Maybe its a similar solution? The midi solution has to do with driver selection.
