The PII specifications say: Number of channels 20 Input/20 Output. Analog Inputs 2In/2Out. What does it mean?
Can I record more than two instruments at the same time? I mean real instruments like two guitars and a bass or a drummer with, lets say 5 mics (not a stereo mix but each mic to a different track)? Thanks a lot...

no you can't directly plug 4 microphones at the same time.

the card has just a few analog I/Os... you'll need an analog box (read the review I mentionned this) or a digital mixer with ADAT if you really need ot plug several analog sources.

20 I/Os means:

. 8 channels on the first ADAT lightpipe (digital)
. 8 channels on the second ADAT lightpipe (digital)
. 2 analog IN (Left and Right) to plug one stereo source in
. 2 analog OUT (Left and Right) to plug to your amplifier
. 1 S/PDIF IN (digital)
. 1 S/PDIF OUT (digital)

by the way i posted a thread about this review.
