Whats up, I'm new to this forum...been makin beats for about 3 months now and just bought my first midi controller keyboard its the E-MU Xboard 49 key...

This keyboard came with proteus and the directions included are for installing it with cubase...I don't have cubase so I've been using fruity loops, but once I add the channel I keep gettin the error that "The streaming engine could not be initialized. There was a problem initizialing the streaming engine, this was probably caused by a driver mismatch". Anyone know what this means and how I can fix that I've tried about everything I can think of...

Update to the lastest drivers and control panel for your audio device and you should be good then.

Hi Your ProteusX LE software is a VSTi, so you must choose it in Cubase as the VSTi you want to utilise.
Also, the EMU install -must- be obeyed, don't use Windoze usb driver, only the EMU one, among several important install 'features'.

Please go there, and scroll down to the EMU area, enter, and find the Xboard and other applicable forums, with several helpful EMU reps, and many experienced users to answer questions.

hope this helps!

I use to have that problem I have the same midi controller that you do..

What I did was in cubase LE I loaded Proteus in VST instruments...
Then on your midi track "IN" emu keyboard, "OUT" pick the proteus LE.....

Then once you have the proteus interface, you have to load it up so go to "file" click "update library"...

Then a box will come up click on the "C" drive and hit update...

Now it will update the sounds...

After that is done click the "OPEN" folder and choose "Proteus X composer.exb" and it'll load the sounds and there you have it...

Can anyone tell me where i can find a demo of the proteus or get it online?

Hey all, I'm new and I've been visiting FP for some time now without registering but as Im in need of urgent advice I'm sorry to bump this old thread but it's relevant to my question, I wanted to purchase the emulator X3 sampler as it's on offer here in the UK but I was wondering if it's anything like the pain in the ass proteus x le as in loading and saving pathes everytime during the sessions e.g everytime a parameter has changed in any one of the instruments in the loaded bank you have to save the bank with another name to the original bank, it's not like any normal vsti where if you have to save you just save the patch itself. Or when you load an existing session unlike any normal vsti you still have to load the bank from the proteus x le. It's a real PITA.
That would put me off buying emulator x3 big time.
For anyone that's used the proteus X LE and emulator X3 can you shed some light on this please?

help appreciated thanks

Re-install, right click FL studio and run as admin. Then select plug. That should work.
