I have a mac G5 power pc that I have had for about 2 years. I don't want to get rid of it but most of the newer music programs require an intel mac. Is there any way to use a mac mini as a master to run pro tools and reason and use the G5 power pc to run plug ins that don't require an intel together?

Ensemble Pro would work but your G5 would have to be your master running Pro Tools the slave computer has to be the Intel based mac. You could then install newer au/vsts on the Intel mac. Not quite what you wanted but could be worth considering.
