i think rock is the hardest genre to sample(at least for me) and I want to know how the pros flip it. If u remember any songs please post them!

Rocks got plenty to sample. It's not all just growling guitars. You gotta dig just like anything else.
 
Most of my samples are actually from rock music, I usually sample from music that I listen to. I've used led zeppelin the most probably, the beatles a couple times, rhcp, cream, guns n roses, radiohead, the police and a lot more. They're usually really good for drum samples and keys but I pretty much never sample guitar.
