pads on the mpc tends to switch samples. wtf ??

Hello

I just got a new mpc 500. The question i want to ask is this:

Do you sometimes experience that if you e.g assign a vocal sample to pad A1, and a snare to pad A2, try to play the vocal sample in pad A1 the snare is played at the same time. It seems that the pads on my mpc are to sensitive. And it plays sounds from different pads than the one hit.

Any one else experienced this ? Is it like this on the larger models eg 5000 as well?

It isn't on the 1000, but of course those pads are s'posed ta be 'worse'. Go to your settings & try turnin the sensitivity down....

I have now narrowed it down to be a problem conserning the sensitivity of the pads, as you said. Sorry for being such a noob, but my manual doesn't cover how to turn down sensitivity on the pads. Are you sure it can be done with the 500 ?

I don't see why it wouldn't. On the 1000 it's - Mode PAD10 Other F4 Pad.
