Lost Boyz f. A+, Redman, & Canibus

Canibus brings the sickest drama,
fierce enough to pierce the thickest armor
I smack ******* who try to suck dick through a condom
Playing with the mic is something I wont do
my only concern when I approach you, is to roast you
I smoke you and whoever you standing close to
and make every man in your crew deny that he knows you
defeating, niggas like Segal Steven,
putting Emcees in, positions to prevent 'em from breathing
I'll make you question any and everything you've ever believed in
by peeping your deepest secrets like psychic readers,
What's the matter with ya'll, I splatter ya'll
against the mutha ****in wall with these raw lyrics I catapult
None of ya'll got the balls big enough to battle,
I go On & On like Erika Badu
a hundred times nicer than the best there is
twice as African as KRS is, who wanna test this
**** yall you dont impress me and no one can test me
An Emcee so ill, I got AIDS scared to catch me
All that **** you poppin will stop, when I put you in a headlock,
and apply pressure until I crush your mutha ****in noggin
I grab mics and push niggas to the left
so fast their hearts end up on the right side of their chests
My hypothesis, is that nobody can see this
lyrical genius, I got it sown like a seamstress
But if you want to battle, I'm down,
If you got nine lives, I'll take eight of them off your hands right now
Step up and get your neck cut from ear to ear
If you survive, then you can cover your scar with a beard
I'm the illest from Queens to the new Jerusalem briddicks
anyone who aint feeling my shidick can suck my didick
You need to quit it, if you aint spitten
more than 50 bars per minute cause you aint in lyrical fitness
kickin' boring raps with metaphors that's wack
all of ya'll mutha ****as need NordicTrack
to get ya weight up, ****in with Canibus you get ate up
get beat down and sprayed up, just for bringing my name up
been rockin longer than niggas twice my age
back in the days before Bob Marley was rockin a fade
before Honest Abe signed the paper that freed slaves
before Neanderthals was drawing on walls in caves
I existed, in the garden of Eden gettin lifted
stickin dick to Eve before she was Adams mistress
Before Christ created Christmas, I been in lyrical fitness
The Canibus is spitten till' he's spitless
50 bars of total sickness, you wont forget this
I'm puttin' every wack Emcee alive on my **** list
verbally vicious, tele-connectically gifted
took you a minute, to exhibit that I'm sick wit it
Now you tell me who you think is damaging ****
going once, going twice
Sold to that nigga name Canibus
Me and Mr.Cheeks, A-Plus, and Funk Doctor
hopping out the Hue helicopter to suey chop ya

Yeah i used to be a huge canibus fan when I used to rap. Before I knew anything about the evolution of the rap game i thought ppl would consider him to be one of the greatest lyricists of all time. This was before i knew about record sales, fads, and people that love simple lyrics.

"im the illest nicka alive, watch me prove it,
i'll snatch your crown with your head still attached to it."

i cant say that there arent other MC's i would rather listen to,
but this man without a doubt deserves his respect.

Far from my favorite verse from Germaine, but its still hot fire.

I really like that "No Return" song alot where he's straight up story telling. Hell, I like most of his songs, but 100 Bars, Buckingham Palace, No Return, Poet Laureate I and II, Showtime at the Gallows, Allied Meta-Forces (Kool G Rap feature!) and Master Thesis are my favorite Canibus tracks I think. Oh yeah and that Patriots song that had Free from 106 and Park spitting on it. Oh, and Die Slow with Journalist.

Yeah, Germaine is one of my favorites of all time.

Canibus is an extremely dope MC in my opinion and I've always argued this, but that verse is not one of the dopest in Hip Hop history. People shouldn't be so quick to say someone is the best of all time or spit the illest verse known to man lol. There's too much to consider and way too much lyricism in Hip Hop history to be so quick to make such a statement. That's definitely exaggerating. He's way underrated because of his lack of dope production over the years though. I've always said that he had mad potential in this game if he had the right producers behind him such as premier, pete rock, alchemist, etc. Someone that would hit him with hard undeniable production and he might've been able to put this game in a headlock over the years lol. But there are way too many greats in the game to say that's one of the best verses of all time.

^^ I personally think him and Stoupe are the perfect combo, Mic Club: The Curriculum and Rip the Jacker should have been his first two albums beatwise, if so he would be in a whole different place right now.

Man Can-I-Buss was my shyt. I think dude better than alot of these so called legends(LL Cool J) dont get me wrong I fuycks wit LL but IMO Cannibus ripped that boy a new *******...he definetly won that beef.

it would be odd to hear him spittin to stuff by any of the producers you mentioned.i just think the majority of ppl are too slow to dissect what hes saying which is to me is ****ed up lol but thats his story to me.

I agree with you Alabaster about Stoupe. The funny thing is that I met Vinnie Paz a couple of months ago and we had a talk about Canibus since that's his peeps. Canibus has lyricism for DAYS, but simply lacks the beats. If he was getting the right beats he would definitely be in a better place now especially if he worked with cats like premier. If they did an album it would be sick!

That's true, but I still think he'd be dope with producers like that. Although most people are too slow to dissect what he's saying, there are still mad MCs like that nowadays that are doing their thing. That'll never change cuz there will always be Hip Hop heads out there to appreciate lyricism regardless of what's on commercial radio ;)

I recently(like last month)found out from a concrete source(no rumor this is fact)that canibus wrote A Plus's verse on this song, and(maybe this part isn't fact)the reason when redman comes in he's talking all the sh*t is because he was subliminaly seperating the "rappers" on the song from the real MC's before he dropped his verse.

I thought A Plus was ill from this one verse, lost all respect for him when I found out, ever since I was told, it's clear as day that Canibus wrote his sh*t.

I also think Redman didn't get his due respects on this song because Canibus came in last. I may just be a Die Hard Reggie Noble fan, but I think he's the only guy in history that hopped on a track featuring Canibus and stayed neck and neck with him.

This is one of my top 5 hip hop songs ever tho.

1. Mobb Deep - Shook Ones
2. Raekwon - Glaciers of Ice(The real one with the sample in the beginning)
3. LB - Beast from the east
4. Nas - Shoot outs
5. Pete Rock - Same Game

Had to post, cause it's a wierd list.

BTW, Canibus, Redman, and Classic Eminem are the Reasons I'm not impressed by Lil' Wayne, Trav from Gym Class Heroes, and these other cats you guys scream are the nicest up here.

I don't think Canibus' raps are that complicated (at least before he parted ways with universal), but what he said was so unlike anything you ever heard before you had to rewind it over and over just to make sure you heard what you think you heard.

The review for 2000 BC in The Source made it sound like you need a protractor, compass, graph paper, and a scientific calculator just to understand what he's saying. Maybe they had to say that if they wanted any future LL interviews, I dunno.

Beasts from the Easts is one of his best tho. It's sad that somebody with so much potential energy had to go out like that.

He said it best himself: Like them active volcanoes. Mad 'cuz they ain't blow.

I had all the respect in the world for him 'til I heard eminem's can-i-b***h. I'm sure he had his reasons for not responding tho, so whatever to that.

C True Hollywood story's has a song on it called "you didn't care" went over alot of people's heads, but he disected Eminenm on that sh*t.

Back at the Rap Olympic(I beleive, some hip hop venue) Eminem "stan'ed" Canibus. "Square dance" was a sick responce tho. Especially the fact that the lyrics were rediculous and he only referenced Canibus at the end. "Follow me as I put these crayons to chaos" damn, start talking real lyricism and I turn back into a hip hop fan.

F**k Wayne vs. Pharoahe Monch/Jay vs. Black Thought.

I woulda loved for that Em vs. Canibus beef to go somewhere, that coulda been legendary. If it happened at this point tho, it would be kinda weak, Em's fell tha phuk off.

Love, Peace and Nappiness. ....haha thats one of my fav albums of all times.....i rocked that **** all through highschool. That summertime joint was sick, I still bump those songs sometimes.

"been rockin longer than niggas twice my age
back in the days before Bob Marley was rockin a fade
before Honest Abe signed the paper that freed slaves
before Neanderthals was drawing on walls in caves
I existed, in the garden of Eden gettin lifted
stickin dick to Eve before she was Adams mistress"

haha thats sick lines right there.....the whole verse is sick.....i memorized this verse when the LB album came out....

where the hell is A +?
I heavent heard anything from Lost Boyz lately....It wasnt the same after Freeky Tah tho. RIP

yea i feel u guys when u say that this isn't his best, but i think what makes it so significant is that it was basically his introduction. Lost Boyz had a big following back then, Redman was on the track, and A+ was grown up, so of course people were gonna pay attention to the track. Then they find out some new guy has a 2 and a half minute verse at the end of the track and just steals the show.

this verse was before the countless DJ Clue Freestyles, before Wyclef, and before Fantastic Four! that's why i consider it one of the illest verses... its the first time most people heard of Canibus.

Oh, this track definetely let me know Canibus was the truth, I think the only track I heard im on before this was the "music makes me high remix", He was sick on that, but this sealed the deal.
