Numark TTX Problem: Help!

I have two TTX's, and for the most part think they are great tables. However, a few months ago a strange thing started happening. A track would be playing, and the motor would stop and the display ring would flash. If I wiggled the platter a little, it would start back up (sometimes). I spoke to Numark and they said that it was a platter sensor problem, but gave me no information to fix it.

If anyone else has experienced this problem and has any suggestions, I would appreciate your help.
 
Okay...so you called Numark and talked to them directly and they wouldn't help you?

Something's wrong here. Either they are jerks(which they aren't), or you didn't ask the right questions. Also, you have to be persistent with these guys. Let them know again the issues you are having and before they let you go...make sure you find out everything you need to get them either running properly or get them to provide a solution to the problem. :)

You mean Numak Identified the problem and offered no advice or solution?
 
I told them the problem, and they said that some sensor on the table thinks that the platter is not on when in fact it is. When I said that I had lost my reciept, they told me that I could get a service manual, but when I called they tried to charge me $30 for about 20 photocopied pages (a parts list, and some circuit diagrams). I can understand that they will not fix it under warranty since I don't have my reciept, but I sure could use a "this is the broken part, replace it" solution.

Anyway, I appreciate your advice. I'll give them a call again and hope for the best.
 
Computers can be good too... Call the place you bought it from, and see if they can pull up your receipt. I know that GC can do it, they have happily done it for me before...
 
I have Numark TTX, and YEAS I did have the same problem 1 year a go!

I call Numark and the guy knew what was the problem right-a-way! soon as i mention blinking clock.
I send the box at numark, and just after 4 days i got it back. Sins then nothing hapend thanks God .

I paid ONLY 25$ for shipping the rest was taken care from Numark.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I have misplaced my reciepts. I am trying to get in touch with the dealer I bought them from, see if they can get me another copy of the reciept. I'm just crossing my fingers now.
 
Hi, Im new here and just came across this topic. Having the same problem. Its the second time Iv had it. First time I went to the bother of replacing the motor and now the same problem has happened again. Unit stops during use and segments on the LCD continually flash. Has anyone found a cheaper way to fix this problem?
