Hi Everyone,
This is my first post so I'd really appreciate any help! I'll get right to it.
I have a Numark TTUSB Turntable, a Focusrite Saphire Pro 24 interface and KRK Rokit 8's. I've got the turntable's red & white RCA cables plugged into 1/4 inch adapters so they fit into inputs 3 & 4 of the interface..
The sounddoes come through the Rokit 8's, but I've got to crank the volume on the Saphire Pro to '10' before I can really hear anything. It's audible, but nowhere near what you'd think a volume of '10' should be at. The gain on the turntable is at max by the way.
Am I missing something here? I switched the turntable to 'line' instead of 'phono' which helped some, but it still isn't as loud as i'd prefer.
When I record my samples into Maschine, I've got to compress them heavily to start getting the volume I need (which is okay, but I'd rather cut that part out if possible). Trying to get a faster workflow!
Any suggestions? I tried to be thorough, but if I missed anything, just let me know.
PS - Am I going to need more hardware? I've been told a small mixer would do the trick, but I figured I already have everything I need to get the job done..
