Hi, I bought a numark dm2002x 3 ch to start with, anyone feel that is a good start? I'm worried though about those kill buttons whether or not I'll be able to here that "feedback click" because I mix some mp3's as of now and I can here it, but then again I notice with mp3's the eq kills aren't justified because of the poor sound quality of mp3's.

Yeah, it's a nice mixer to start out with. You could do a lot worse. But get yourself a couple of CD players or turntables instead of that MP3 thing, turn the volume up real loud and find out why...

Its what I started on and use now, it does the job. Good for its price.

The Numark is ok, if you factor out the fact that it is ugly and always seems to have some sort of greasy substance seeping out of the faders.

Mangazm

(haha, i live with kee)

if only it was...

Numark mixers creep me out, but the 2000X/20002X are fine to start with. Not a bad buy.

The **** that leaks out is conductivity spray. You never have to replace a fader because of that stuff. Fixes bleeding and such. Where's your new shiny mixer mangazm?

Congrats with your new purchase. I was looking into that specific model you got also but after reading something on http://www.scratchdj.com i was sort of worried. This guy says he got it for xmas and 2 or 3 months later the xfader started bleeding. I think it looks good on paper... i wouldnt know though cuz i havent tried it. I've decided to save up for a Stanton RM-THREE.

You are right about the cross-fader thing on the RM-3...

You could opt for Vestax PMC-170A...
