Hi, i'm new. i know forums can go off topic so please keep to the subject which is:
I have messed around with FL Studio in the past and found it easy, but i never did anything advanced. I'm now going to use Ableton 8.
I'm looking for a good setup obviously saving money (as always).
Ideas that have been put to me are:
Korg Microkey 37
Akai Lpd8
But i keep seeing the maschine, maschine mikro, all these fancy keyboards like mpk49, max49, sl mk2. Other things like ultra nova, korg microKorg.
Is the basic equiptment good enough for a beginner? Or one of the other things i mentioned better.
Using:
i5 2500k, 16gm ram, xonar d2x.
Thanks

I've done a little research and although the maschine sounds cool, i think i'm looking for a keyboard at the moment:
obviously the ones ive been looking at are (for novice)
Korg Microkey 37
Akai mpk49
Akai max49
novation sl mk2 49
a friend mentioned that as i'm starting out i should go for the microkey37 and lpd8. Would most of you agree?
I want to learn to make dub/dance/trance/chillout music. My budget for this starting equiptment is £250.
thanks
