New to beat making & Need Help!(Maschine)

So i am completely new to beat making,I kinda took a big leap and bought a NI Maschine MKII,And i really wanna take it serious however i have No Clue what im doing i kinda just do exercises till i get bored and turn it off i blame my self cause i obviously don't know how to use the software or were to find quality drum kits and libraries,so basically im just looking for guidance cause i look up many topics up on YouTube and their always missing key details,and kinda skip the basics. i have used imaschine and its nothing compared to maschine much more complicated!

Questions:
how do i set up my maschine for recording?
how do i make scenes longer?
What are the basic must knows before starting?
