New needles HELP

Hi i have a pair of technics 1200s that came with stanton 500 mkIIs and they are all but dying on me and skip to no end even after ive spent ages setting my tone arm height and weight etc ...... i also have a ortofon OM headshell that has a busted S120 stylus.


Im trying to choose between getting a pair of shure m447s

or

getting a ortofon Concord Qbert model.....


just looking for some feed back/advice on which would be better to out lay the cash on, considering there is such a price difference between the two.

44-7's You can't go wrong with those. They pick up dust so you have to keep that in mind, but they will not skip once you set them up properly and break them in. Peace be with you................Rob Mixx
 
sweet well ill mosy on over to ebay and pick my self some up ..... might be pushing the online friendship here but any particular pointers on the set up of the 44-7s ? apart from screw in and use lol
 
If you can get the shure m447-h, it's already premounted for you. If you get just the m447, you're going to need to get a headshell to attach it to.
