I've been looking into the 1200's lately and as you all know there is a closure in Technics vinyl turntables. After looking around a bit and failing on an eBay bids trying to get them... I decided to look elsewhere, besides where is the costumer support and replacement parts on a discontinued item anyway? With this said...

The 2 models I have been eyeballing now are Vestax PDX-3000MKIIs and PDX-3000Mixs. I am looking for turntables good for mainly Hip Hop with some electronic and jazz (for scratching and club DJing). Basically really good all around ^_^ I also can't figure out the S-curve and straight tone arm benefits (which is better?)

Any suggestions??? Much appreciated fam

yo fam so the s-shaped tonearm is more for mixing and the straight tonearm is more for scratching you get more control cuz it's shorter and you can get more crazy and shit you know backspins, aquamans, orbits and stuff but it also depends how heavy the weight ressistance is i hope that helped you a little bit
