well to start off with there are so many choices out there that deciding on what to start with can be a difficult task. The easist place to start off with would be to set yourself a budget. For get about headphones, large amounts of vinyl, excellent styli for now and channel all your money in to a decent set of decks and a mixer. If you want to go for the best (and the most expensive) then look no further than the Technics 1210's mk2 or mk3, if you prefer vestax then try the new Vestax pdx-2000
