MPC3000, MMC 'play' command sent?

I just got the thing today, and I've only been at it for an hour or so.

I recorded a sequence (with real-time quantize OFF). I wanted to time correct it, so I applied the change to the existing notes by hitting Timing Correct, setting the proper quantize settings, and Move Existing.

Now when I hit the Play button, all I get at the bottom of the screen is "MMC 'play' command sent". Same goes for damn near every transport button.

What's going on?

Any help is appreciated.

Hey man,

Sounds like it is still set to be a slave device and waiting on a MMC command to start. An easy fix would be to go under `OTHER` and select `Init PAR`. This will restore the MPC to default settings. Nothing will be lost since you just got it. It just still has the previous owners settings. Try that and let me know... gotta help the MPC 3000 Ontario people!
 
Sweet, I'll try that when I get home. Someone else told me the same thing (and I suspected it in the back of my mind but didn't know where the option was).
