I've had an MPC1000 for a few months now, and looking to record some beats onto my PC. I thought all I'd really need was an Audio Interface and some recording software, but so far no luck.
I've got an M-audio Uno midi usb interface, and connected my MPC to my pc (4gbRAM, intel core duo 2 2.3ghz, windows 7), hoping to record into a free recording programme. So far I've tried Kristal and Audacity, neither of which have successfully recognized the mpc. The correct driver for the interface is installed, and my computer recognizes the device and says its working fine, but audacity can't see it at all, and kristal seemed to see the interface but couldn't so anything with it. I then tried midi-ox, which couldn't see the mpc at all.
Anybody have any ideas of what I should try? Or places where I've gone wrong/ things I should do?
