I was up one night chopping stuff and suddenly the scren went blanc and all the lights over the buttons over the whole mpc started glowing with their red light and i cant get the mpc to work. Whats wrong?

did you turn the power off and on?
That happened to me when i blew out my scsi board trying to plug the wrong drive in. I thought it was scsi but it was some other format and it just fried the board.
Fortunately I live in LA so i was able to run over the hill and www(dot)forat(dot)com fixed it in a matter of hours.
Not sure if that's your problem but mine had the same symptoms. Definitely sounds like something is blown. Don't panic. It's fixable.
