MPC 1000 vs MPC 500

I have the option of buying either a second hand MPC 1000 or a new MPC 500 (which I'll be using mainly for sequencing but not only) , both at the same price.
Which should I get??

I would def. recommend you to buy the 1000. I was in the exact same situation two month ago, and people on different forums was telling me that the workflow on the 500 is terrible compared to the 1000.
Plus there is only 12 pads on the 500, which I think is a problem/limitation when it comes to chopping samples.

I had a 500 and I now own a 1000, I would def go with the 1000
