Mixing Samples

Greetings family,

Just thought id ask about samples i use in FL STUDIO. Obviously quite a lot i use are mixed well and panned wide in the headphones, however some of them are restricted to certain areas in the headphones or not very wide

I was just wondering about the most effective methods to make my samples pan wider in the headphones. I currently use fruity stereo shaper to do this for drums but im not sure if this is as effective for actual melodies/samples?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Yeah, a subtle flanger/chorus with no feedback and a high passed wet signal is great for this. Also, you could try a really short reverb, which works well for acoustic sounds.
