Lets say i sample with the CPU, arrange with hardware sequencer(through midi), and connect a HARDDISK RECORDER to the sequencer(midi also). When i finish my recording, does the sound get routed through my CPU's soundcard; or does it go straight to the recorder(from the sampler, to the sequencer, to the recorder).
I hope this makes cents. In other words; can i get around having a shitty soundcard by using a mixer and recorder (BUT: still using a sample library from the CPU's harddrive)?
