So I have been playing around with FL Studio for a few years now, naturally at the beginning I was god awful, but over time I have started to produce some 'okay' Audio Tracks, HOWEVER, It seems no matter my best attempts at mastering audio and adding FX or filters etc. the music either sounds hollow af. overcrowded or unbalanced.
does anyone have any tips to help me better master my tracks?

-additional hardware/software
-specific methods
anything and everything that could help me is appreciated
